E's a Fireman - Always fighting to save lives...
- We recently had a meeting with the President of Greece to discuss future strategies for preventing fires throughout Greece this year.
I asked him what he proposed we do about the possibility of fires raging through Greece again this year and how we were to overcome them if they were to begin again!
He looked me square in the eyes and he said the following, "We have two major things going for us that we didn't have last year.
"What are those I asked?", he then gave me his garden hose, and told me to "use my Imagination..."
When i asked him about setting up a fire prevention fund, he told me "there was already a Minister in charge of such a fund. He'd already prevented anyone from getting the funds and so we'd better be careful not getting too close to the fire as the Hose would melt...!
