'The world I live in' written by S.A.Rawicz
The world I live in,
Is a better place,
A much more colourful place,
A positively vibrant place,
Because of one man.
It is the world around me, that reminds me of him,
He was the morning in my day, the sun in my sky,
The rain was his sadness, his pain and his loss,
The sun was his happiness, his strength and his courage, his determination and his guide.
You are my earliest memories of life,
You are what I can only wish to become.
Your guidance led me on,
Your wisdom teaches me now,
Your presence I feel everywhere.
In the trees we once cut, in the grass we once gathered, or in the pond where I’d stare at your reflection. Without knowing it, I relive your greatness, I walk your steps, and most of all, I still search for your reflection.
Be it in the mirror in the kitchen, where as children we’d marvel as you shaved, or in the porch, where we’d laugh at your vanity and your choice of wonderful hat’s…
I so miss your insight, into life with your eyes,
Understanding so much, without knowing it all,
Saying so little, yet meaning so much,
Inspiring so many, by just being you…
'This is for you' - written by the family.
This is for you,
For the father we love.
For the one who has helped us through all our childhood fears and failures.
For the man who is a wonderful example of what men should be.
For the person whose devotion to his family is marked by gentle strength and guidance.
If you never knew how much we respect and admire you.
I want you to know it now, dad…
I think you’re the best father that any child ever had.
